Tangled Threads if a monthly quilt club that has five meeting times each month (10 AM, NOON, 2, 4 & 6 PM). There currently are openings in our 4 and 6 PM meetings only. Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and generally run about 60 minutes. Monthly newsletters will be available on the meeting day with the featured recipe, sales and task to be completed for the next month. The recipe that is shared has been tested and members attending will be able to sample these delights! The new items that have come into the store, up-coming classes, and other points of interest will be shared at the beginning of each meeting. Members are encouraged to bring things to “Show and Tell.” These items are always the highlight of the club!!! Annual membership is $50.The Block Of the Month (BOM) quilt being featured for 2024 is “Classic Reflections” featuring Wilmington fabrics that are crisp and clean with cool blues, navy, blue greens and hunter greens. The quilt has a large center medallion with smaller surrounding parts. The pieced border has a unique look combining flying geese and square in a square.
Classic Reflections Quilt Kit will include everything you need to make the quilt top including the binding and pattern. The finished quilt size will be 84” square. The cost of the kit will be $225. (15% off for 2024 Members). Pattern cost: TBA
The featured book will be Creative Two-Block Quilts. Create amazing quilts with only two blocks! This pattern book is packed with 11 different designs that all combine two different blocks into one brilliant quilt. See how combining two blocks can add interest and even create whole new patterns.
Each month members are challenged to sew a part of the BOM or a featured project from the book. Members who bring back their monthly sewing project receive a FREE fat quarter wooden nickel. We have monthly sales and discounts that are exclusive to the members only.
Members can join the private Facebook group: Tangled Threads at Quilt Corner. This group is where we share all of the Show and Tell pics that are taken at each meeting. Many of the members post images of what they are working on to keep people engaged. We encourage participation. Newsletters will also be available on this page for viewing and downloading.
