The 2025 Two Moors Festival begins in celebratory fashion at St Luke's Church, Simonsbath, in the centre of Exmoor, with exquisite solo and duo works for violin and cello by JS Bach. Festival Director, violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen, performs the C Major Sonata, and the internationally acclaimed cellist, Guy Johnston, who has made a regular appearance since the early days of the Festival, will perform two of Bach's Cello Suites. Composed around 1720, they represent the culmination of Bach's mastery of melody, harmony, form and expression.
