I'm launching the second single, 'You Will Always Follow You', from my new album, 'Castrati Meow' at the Tramway Hotel in Fitzroy on Saturday 21st September.'You Will Always Follow You' is a gently fingerpicked harmonium driven pop song about how no matter where you go you can never quite fully escape who you are or the body you inhabit. It’s an acknowledgement of how, as humans, our innate escapist nature often conflicts with our ability to cherish and appreciate what we already have.

TAMMY HAIDER
Tammy Haider’s melodious folk/pop will quickly reach anyone with an even faintly open heart. Her songs, influenced by naive bedroom-pop as well as spare, minimal folk, are ruminations on present and past loves, the passing of time, and interpersonal dynamics. While Haider’s delivery is plaintive and vulnerable, she sings with a soothing conviction -- Haider describes her songs as “lullabies for adults”. Her unique folk-pop is at once catchy, approachable and complex, with interesting instrumental layering and unexpected turns.

Originally from the Northern Rivers, Roland has been an integral part of the Melbourne music scene since moving there in 2010. He has performed with bands such as Fierce Mild and Small Voices and has contributed to organizing multiple music festivals. Over the years, Roland has crafted an eclectic catalogue of songs, characterized by rich imagery and emotion.
