Social ecology is a theory within philosophy concerned with the relationships between the environment and human society. Proponents of this philosophy argue that environmental problems can only be resolved through reconfiguring society in a way that seeks to dismantle all forms of unjust hierarchy and domination and replace them with democracy and freedom.
