Join WoodWorks BC, with special guests from MA+HG Architects and Timber Engineering, to learn strategies for tall wood construction under the new BCBC mass timber provisions. Hear from WoodWorks staff about updates on provincial codes, wood design requirements, and industry trends. MA+HG and Timber Engineering will offer insights into the design of the MAC building, an 11-storey mass timber rental building providing affordable housing in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
Strategies discussed will include:
- Architectural Layout and MEP Planning strategies with MT construction,
- How to determine the best hybrid lateral system for your project, and
- How to find efficient structural layouts for different spans and constraints.
