Aberdeen's finest rock folk indie punk band, Formed in 1990 Throughout the 1990s, The Lorelei built a reputation for their high-energy live performances, playing extensively across the UK and releasing two albums, “Headstrong” and “Progression.” After a hiatus in 1997, they reunited in 2006, continuing to perform and produce new music. Their discography includes albums like “Faces” (2011) and “Roaring” (2015). Described by Time Out as “The Pogues and The Screaming Trees swaggering home drunk” and credited by Rock’n’Reel Magazine with creating a new musical genre—Total Thrash Speed Folk—their unique sound has garnered them a dedicated following "Highly charged emotional tunes the band have a high octane approach to the folksy rootsy rock" Imagine a rock band and a folk band having a fight and the rock band just coming out best.
