HHS Curator Emily Werner will lead this discussion. People have been decorating themselves and their homes with flowers for centuries, and Huntingtonians are no exception. Our current exhibit, Huntington in Bloom: 200 Years of Flowers in Fashion, Art, & Everyday Life, showcases a selection of beautiful pieces from our collection with flower motifs. However, there is always more than meets the eye at a museum! At this “Talks Over Tea,” our curator will discuss her inspiration for this exhibit and how it all came together. Learn more about some of the objects on display, delve deeper into flower symbolism, and enjoy a small display of some additional floral pieces from our collection!
