Talking Transport meeting: Kirklees

We know that some places are harder or more expensive to get to than they should be. Travel information and fares are too complicated as well. We want to hear your travel experiences to help inform our decision-making.

Our new Talking Transport meetings meetings will take place twice a year, bringing together people who shape the way transport works in your area. You’ll get to hear what we’re doing to improve transport, locally and across West Yorkshire, and to ask questions and share your experiences.

The meeting will be led by your Transport Engagement Lead Councillor, Cllr Matthew McLoughlin, in partnership with us (the West Yorkshire Combined Authority) and Kirklees Council. Transport Engagement Leads are local councillors who are responsible for working closely with the Combined Authority on transport. Operators of transport services in the area are also invited to join the meeting and answer any questions about their services.

Please note: this is a different event to West Yorkshire Mayor's Question Time, which is happening on the same date at 6:30pm in St Paul's Hall at the University of Huddersfield. The two events are taking place on the same day due to the rescheduling of Mayor's Question time in November 2024. There is level access to Huddersfield Town Hall via the main entrance on Corporation Street. The entrance to the room is next to the Reception desk; there are some steps or a lift down into the room.

The toilets are next to the room: men’s at the bottom of the main staircase; accessible toilets along the corridor; and women’s on the first floor landing. There is a lift from the ground to the first floor.
