<h4>Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting Australians. It's a condition that can impact anyone, regardless of age or gender, but early detection and awareness can make a significant difference.</h4>
Did you know?
- 1 in 15 Australian women and 1 in 13 Australian men will develop bowel cancer in their lifetime.
- Annually, 7,068 women and 8,463 men are diagnosed, with 12.3% of women and 10% of men under age 50.
- Bowel cancer is the third deadliest cancer for both women and men
- Bowel cancer is the deadliest cancer for Australians aged 25-44
- Incidence rates have increased by 266% in adolescents and young adults (15-24 years) over the past 30 years.
- Those born in 1990 onwards face double the risk of colon cancer and quadruple the risk of rectal cancer compared to those born in 1950.
