🎨 Talking Circle: Art as Medicine — Creativity as a Path to Healing
📍 Pyle Adult Recreation Center, Payson Room, Tempe AZ
🗓️ Tuesday\, November 19 \| 6:00–7:30 PM
Art has always been a way for the soul to speak. Across cultures, creativity is honored as a bridge between the seen and unseen—a way to process emotion, connect with spirit, and bring healing into form. Whether through painting, song, movement, or craft, creative expression can unlock deep wisdom within us.
💠 In this circle, we’ll explore:
• How creativity functions as medicine in Indigenous and spiritual traditions
• The healing power of artistic expression and ritual
• Simple ways to bring art into personal and communal healing
✨ What to Expect:
• A gentle creative practice to open inner pathways
• Sharing circle with Indigenous and clinical perspectives
• Space to reflect, express, and connect
Bring a journal, your curiosity, and (if you wish) a small sacred item for our altar space.
Free / donation-based event.
In the spirit of giving, The Medicine Way is gathering new and unused art materials to support Native American children in need throughout the Phoenix area. This effort is made possible in partnership with the Phoenix Indian Center. Donations such as coloring books, colored pencils, markers, paints, brushes, sketch pads, and so on are deeply appreciated and help spark creativity, joy, and healing through art during the holiday season. Bring them to any Medicine Way event through 12/10/25.
