📃 ABSTRACT
Belgian Animal Rights organisation Bite Back celebrates its 20th birthday. For two decades Bite Back stands on the forefront of animal rights and collective liberation. Through different forms of actions, education, presence in media and strategic campaigns Bite Back amplifies the voice of animals in our society. What started as a small direction action group has grown into a professional organisation with a vast number of members, activists and sympathisers, Bite Back is a household name in the social justice movement in Belgium as it stands in solidarity with anyone who suffers from oppression.
Dr. Jo Dirix is the president of Bite Back. In his lecture he will address the campaigns and tactics of Bite Back, he elaborates on how Bite Back aims to accomplish its mission and he gives an insight into the movement after almost 10 years of animal rights activism.
