About this Event
Talk to Strangers A networking experience for people who hate networking
You've been in the room. The one where everyone seems to already know each other, conversations are happening without you, and you're doing that thing where you check your phone so you look busy instead of lost.
This is for that version of you.
Talk to Strangers is a two-hour in-person experience designed around the part of networking nobody actually teaches — what to do with the awkward, the flat, the intimidating, and the silent. Not the theory of it. The live, uncomfortable, real-time practice of it.
You'll move through four simulated scenarios: the cold room, the group you can't break into, the conversation that dies, and the person in the room who outranks you. Each one followed by a real debrief — what worked, what the room noticed, what to do differently.
No lecture. No name tags and pray. No hollow advice about "just being yourself."
Just a room full of women willing to be uncomfortable together — and a framework for turning that discomfort into something you actually use.
What to expect:
- Live networking scenarios with real-time coaching
- An honest conversation about social awkwardness — and why eliminating it isn't the goal with sociology expert
- Tools for entering rooms, starting conversations, and exiting them without the guilt spiral
- Light refreshments and a complimentary drink included
- A Round Table Society experience — small, intentional, and worth your Saturday
Investment: $25 · Includes light refreshments + complimentary drink Members of The Round Table Society: Same price — bring a friend who needs this room.
