Please join us for a Talk Story Time session with Phil Blankenship who is the President of Blankenship Asphalt Tech and Training, PLLC. Phil will be visiting the islands from Kentucky and has generously offer to spend time with us. You may be familiar with Phil as he has been a presenter for industry webinars.
Phil is an excellent resource of information about the asphalt industry from a national perspective. Ask him about things on the horizon in Hawaii such as balanced mix design, increased use of RAP in our mixture, and the use of plastic versus the use of a polymer modified binder (PMA) or any thing that's on your mind. Some may want to learn more about his master’s work, which was developing N-design.
While there is no cost, when registering for this “talk story” session, each attendee is encouraged to provide a question(s) for the speaker. We believe having questions in advance will provide Phil with a good idea of the interest of the attendees, resulting in a more worthwhile and productive session.
Phil’s Bio:
Phil Blankenship, PE, MSCE, President: With decades of experience in product evaluations, development, trials and commercialization, Phil is well qualified to apply insights and innovative thinking to any asphalt challenge. He holds multiple patents and can assist with specification writing and reviews, product testing plans, pavement investigation, and a wide range of training topics tailored to your specific needs and including professional development hours (PDH).
Prior to starting his company, Phil worked for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and then Koch Industries, an oil refiner, and then Asphalt Institute.
