About this Event

Talk Radio, Kate Possi, Tommy Economy

Talk Radio

Talk Radio is an American indie rock outfit anchored in Boston and Nashville. Evoking the timeless charm of The Kinks and the soulful ingenuity of Alabama Shakes, the band is the child of artists M. Dunton and Jack Sloan—the pair have collaborated for years and finally acted on a palpable chemistry that shines through during their raucous live shows. Their styles are complementary, as Dunton’s expansive brand of melodic indie folk gels seamlessly with Sloan’s hard charging rock’n’roll. They recently embarked together on a late summer tour of the Northeastern U.S.—both brought their battle-tested solo acts on the road but seized the opportunity to introduce Talk Radio to live audiences and hone the songs that will appear on their upcoming eponymous debut.

Kate Possi

Kate Possi, a Boston native, has been playing around the Seacoast New Hampshire music scene for a couple of years now. Starting with the cello at 9 and later transitioning to guitar at 13, Possi has captivated audiences across New England with her indie-folk sound, both solo and with her band. Through her live performances, she shares her music with its themes like loss, heartbreak, and love. Thank you for being a part in this musical journey!

Tommy Economy

In the 8 years he has toured the US as a founding member of the band More Fatter, Tommy Economy has gotten good at a lot of things: sleeping in vans, skipping meals, telling jokes on stage. But the skill he has honed most obsessively this past year is songwriting. His forthcoming LP, ‘Filmmaking,’ is a raw, authentic listen that pulls you in deep. The Brooklyn based songwriter weaves carefully crafted guitar parts and melodies with tender storytelling. In his own words, Economy says, “nothing matters more than the story.”
