About this Event
A Healthy Watershed Takes a Village... and Everyone Up and Downstream of the Village: How we treat our land, so too do we treat our water. Dr. Steven Tuorto, Director of Science and Stewardship at The Watershed Institute, will talk about the drivers of waters quality, some of the science used to assess watershed health and water quality, how this correlates directly to some of our most pressing threats such as flooding and harmful algal blooms, and how only by collaborating on regional watershed management and restoration efforts will we be able to achieve any meaningful mitigation. Steve will share examples of how The Watershed Institute is working with many partners on both regional management planning and restoration projects.
