Dr Nasreen Peer will present a talk about her research exploring the complexities of kelp forest habitats. Dr Peer, a co-founder of Argonaut Science (Pty) Ltd, obtained her PhD specialising in the diversity and ecology of aquatic invertebrates in a wide range of coastal and freshwater habitats, particularly in estuaries, rocky shores, mangroves and, more recently, kelp forests. She is now a lecturer at Stellenbosch University’s Department of Botany and Zoology. Here she teaches students about the natural world and makes them question the way we relate to our environment and each other. You can find her on Instagram at @naszoea
