Tales of the Manuvu is a landmark Filipino
rock-opera ballet choreographed by National
Artist Alice Reyes, with a libretto by Bienvenido
Lumbera and music by Dero Pedero and The
Afterbirth. Drawing from the Manobo creation
myth, the work became iconic for its fusion of
indigenous storytelling, rock music, and ballet.
Its 2019 revival refreshed the production with
new designs and arrangements while
preserving its original spirit.
