Join us at Steeple City Social for our second Community Conversations event, honoring the upcoming Halloween holiday! We will welcome Joyce Held of the Pownal Historical Society and Jason Vivori, Collections Manager at the Berkshire Museum, who will deliver brief talks about Margaret Krieger’s 1785 Pownal “Witch” Trial and North Adams Cemeteries. Learn about how locals determined whether someone was a Witch in the 18th Century, how bodies were embalmed after the Civil War, and the who’s who of North Adams gravesites.
