Weeping Bank Library brings engaging, candlelit performances of ghost stories to community spaces, creating intimate and unique experiences for both avid and reluctant readers, gothic horror fans and lovers of traditional storytelling.
'I'd never been to a Weeping Bank reading before but I had heard from a friend that it captures the chills and atmosphere of a theatre or film ghost story, yet done by storytelling alone. I was doubtful. I honestly felt the hairs rise on my neck during the reading, this is something very different and shouldn't be missed.'
'The story was brilliant - but the way it was delivered takes it to another level. The atmosphere was genuinely chilling. Weeping Bank were meant to do this!'
'You have managed to capture perfectly the atmosphere and sound of the great ghost story writers of yesteryear.'
'well written and flawlessly delivered with thespian-level gravitas' Emma Dark, award-winning filmmaker and actress, columnist for We Belong Dead magazine.
Warning - Weeping Bank readings contain moments of heightened tension. The reading is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 15 or of a nervous disposition.
