2.30pm: MK Theatre Youth Theatre presents MY WORLD
What does the World look like in 2040? This is the question posed and explored by a fantastic group of young people from MK Theatre’s senior youth theatre as they create a brand-new piece of devised theatre especially for Taking the Stage.
When you look around you at the world today, do you see hope for the future? Do you see despair? Do you see rampant AI taking over the world, or a reset back to simpler ways?
Will society be fairer and more equitable, or most unjust and polarised? Do the dreams and fears we have today give us insight into the age old question of – What Next?
Utilising a range of practical theatre skills, these young creatives look to their future. 16 years from now, what will their (and our) World look like?
3pm: Q&A, ‘Where are our future theatre makers?’
Panel: Rosemary Hill (Producer, Director and Chair), Carly Halse (Theatre Practitioner), Sian Rowland (Playwright and Educator), Chloe Wade (Playwright and Theatre Practitioner).
4.00pm - 4.45pm: “The Role of the Intimacy Co-ordinator” Ita O’Brien
