The Bill Memorial Library invites you to visit the library on Saturday, February 7, 2026, to celebrate the 15th annual Take Your Child to the Library Day. Children and their families can stop by between 10:00 AM-2:00 PM for crafts, chocolate trivia, a free book giveaway, and more! Taste test chocolate from around the world and vote for your favorite in our World Chocolate Extravaganza! Be part of our Fantasy Candy World photo shoot in front of our green screen. The library will be giving away a jar full of chocolate to the lucky winner who comes closest to guessing the correct number of pieces in the candy jar. Get in on all the fun and be sure to check out a book with your library card! For more information call the library at 860-445-0392.Take Your Child to the Library Day is an international grass-roots event first suggested by Nadine Lipman, Children’s Librarian at the Waterford Public Library, with over 1000 libraries across the country and around the world currently participating.
Library hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
