About this Event

Get ready to pedal and join us in partnership with Council Member Farah Louis’s, RISE, Elite Learners, and CitiBike for a powerful event dedicated to Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We're uniting to address and denounce sexual violence while offering resources and solidarity to those affected. After the rally, stick around for an awesome Resource Fair packed with food, refreshments, games, giveaways, and more!

Grab one of our 40 Citibikes (first come, first served) if you're over 16 and have signed the photo release and waiver. Don't worry if you don't snag a Citibike - bring your own wheels and join the fun! Just remember, riders under 16 need parental guidance and their own bikes.

Let's pedal together to denounce violence and create a safer, healthier community for everyone. Be an upstander and join us for a day of riding, rallying, and making a difference!

Will helmets be provided for the tour?

Citi Bike will provide helmets. Please make sure that you have provided us with your size (S,M,L) when you register for this event. If you didn’t provide us a size and wish to get a helmet please contact [email protected] with your size.

Please see helmet sizing instructions if you are unsure of your size: https://www1.nyc.gov/html/dot/downloads/pdf/helmet-fitting-instructions.pdf

What should I bring to a Citi Bike tour like this?

We suggest participants dress comfortably to ride, and with the summer weather in mind. Please wear sneakers or athletic shoes that are comfortable. With the summer heat, we encourage participants to be hydrated and bring water or a sports drink. If you choose to bring a day pack, each Citi Bike has a basket in which you can place your bag. We don't suggest anything bigger than a tote bag, as it wouldn't fit in the basket.

What are the COVID guidelines for this event?

We're following local guidance, so masks are not required while riding the bike outdoors during our ride. But we will ask participants to bring a mask to wear when visiting the local businesses along the ride.

We also have more extended COVID protocols for our bikes here: https://www.citibikenyc.com/blog/covid19

(High contact surfaces on bikes will be disinfected each time they arrive in our depot. High contact surfaces on vans used to transport vehicles will also be disinfected at the start of each shift. Our associates are wearing gloves and face coverings when handling bikes and other activities.)
