This is a drop-in group support walk for those who have lost someone to suicide.
About this Event

During this event you will have the opportunity to meet and bond with others who have faced similar losses. Our walk aims to create a supportive community where participants can share their experiences and find comfort in knowing they are not alone. You will also be able to engage with people who understand the unique pain of losing someone to suicide.

Our community emphasizes listening and validation, recognizing each person's grief as unique and deeply important. Walking in this beautiful natural forest allows those attending to invite the grounding and comforting power of nature to allow us to be present with each other and present with the shared grief of this group.

Walking together we hope to foster unity and strength, offering a sense of peace and collective healing.

Who is it for?

Anyone who has lost a significant other to suicide and who wants to join others in building a supportive community of survivors.

We ask that you confirm your registration, as we hope to start our walk on time.

Please allow some time for you to arrive, park if needed and meet the group. Event will only be canceled in extreme weather conditions. Come prepared for possible rain (raincoat, umbrella waterproof shoes) .

Facilitators

This session is facilitated by Jesse Cervenka and co-faciliatated by a suicide loss survivor. Jesse is the Bereavement Coordinator at the Crisis Centre of BC as well as an intern Counsellor at the Vancouver Hospice Society, where he helps run various groups and provides one-on-one grief counseling.
