Join us for an evening of English-language standup comedy, featuring Taipei’s most elite entertainers, at the legendary Comedy Plus. Hosted by American comic Evan Danger, the show features a star-studded international cast, headlined by the one and only Ricky.
About the comics:
Ricky is a local Taiwanese who has only started learning English seriously in the past year, he still feels his English is very poor. He likes one-liner jokes because life is always full of twists, and he also likes dark humor because life is always full of suffering.
Huang Hao-Ping is a Taiwanese TV host and stand-up comedian, currently signed under Titan Star Creative Entertainment Co., Ltd. He officially debuted in 2012 after placing seventh in the first season of Super Model King. Later that year, on September 28, he appeared on University (大學生了沒), where he gained attention for his impressions of the comedy duo Hao Jiao Xiang Qi. He is especially known for his spot-on impersonations of Sodagreen’s lead singer Qing Feng, Jacky Wu, Chiu Kong, Kevin Tsai, Mickey Huang, and A-Xiang from Hao Jiao Xiang Qi. In 2014, he became one of the challenge masters on the variety show Mr. Player (綜藝玩很大).
Evan Danger is an NYC-born comic who started off in Shanghai’s comedy scene during the late 2010s. He has performed all around Asia in both English and Chinese and been featured on numerous programs including HOT DOOR GATE and The Night Night Show.
Sam Yarbs is an American stand-up comic based in Taipei, Taiwan. Sam has headlined in over 8 countries, and was a finalist in the 2017 Shanghai International Comedy Festival, the 2017 Bangkok International Comedy Festival and was a two-time finalist in the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival. Sam is one of the co-founders and owners of Two Three Comedy in Taipei and was a writer and performer in Season 3 of The Night Night Show with Brian Tseng.
Shen Jong: Shen Jong is a Taiwan-born, Hong-Kong raised lawyer-turned-comedy-rockstar. He performs frequently in Taiwan and Hong Kong, in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
Lizzy Mew is local girl who is passionate about performing stand-up comedy in both Chinese and English. She is a regular performer in the local English Stand-up comedy scene.
Her goal is to entertain people and make the world a happier place. She’s always into entertaining people and making them laugh. She believes that the magic in comedy is to let the audiences see the world through her eyes.
