Tails on Trails is back and bigger than ever — and this year, we’re turning the hike into a full-blown fall festival for pet lovers! 🎪🐶🐱
Whether you're showing up to celebrate your furry best friend, hiking to help pets in need, or just joining the fun with fellow animal lovers—this event is for you.
🌲 What to Expect:
✔️ Choose Your Challenge — 2 or 4 mile hikes through the beautiful forest trails of Baker Creek Preserve. All levels welcome — families, solo hikers, and pups on leash!
✔️ Memorial Walk — Honor pets who’ve crossed the rainbow bridge with a peaceful 0.8-mile loop, a memory wall, and space to share your gratitude.
✔️ Adoption Event — Meet adorable cats and dogs looking for their forever homes.
✔️ Vendor Market + Food Trucks — Grab a bite, sip something warm, and shop local pet vendors and handmade goods.
✔️ Live Music + Pet Demos — Enjoy a vibrant mix of acoustic tunes and animal-inspired fun.
✔️ The Golden Paw Awards — Celebrate local heroes making a difference in the pet world.
✔️ Pet Supply Drive — Hikers are invited to carry 10 pounds of pet food or supplies in their backpack to donate to local shelters.
💛 Why We Hike:
Tails on Trails raises money for the Nomar & Mia Compassion Fund, an emergency vet care fund through the University of Tennessee Vet School that helps low-income pet parents facing heartbreaking medical decisions. We also support local shelters by encouraging adoptions and donating much-needed supplies.
This event is inspired by the bond between humans and animals—and by two special cats, Nomar and Mia, who left behind a legacy of love. Their story lives on in every step we take.
