Taiko for Better Mental and Physical Health_Children's Workshop (7-12 yo)

This Taiko for Better Mental and Physical Health Workshop is for children 7-12 years old.

Come join us at ArtServe for a unique workshop focusing on the art of Taiko drumming and its benefits for mental and physical well-being from 10:30am to 11:30am.

Playing taiko drums requires mental focus, physical expression, counting, playing as a team and with a joyous heart. We encourage all participants to smile, be OK with making mistakes, and do simply their best. By relieving the tension in our body, we are better able to control daily stress, our physical movements and overall reaction time.

We will be counting in Japanese, English and Spanish. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, snack, and ear protection (if desired). Parents are encouraged to stay during the workshop and participate in a Japanese art, such as origami.

Please let us know of any sensory concerns. We will have hearing protection available for workshop participants.
