We are now announcing our 2025 Taiji Fencing event schedule, including retreats, workshops, and tournaments. To prepare for this event, Xia will be offering a weekend retreat to train, certify, and develop Taijji Fencing Instructors & Club Leaders.We will be meeting at various indoor and outdoor locations in the State, College, Pennsylvania, region. Your lodging and food is not included in the event registration. Each club is welcome to have up to 2 representatives. Do not bring your student body to this event!

What we will cover:
– Building your standalone swordsmanship curriculum
– Developing drills based on your sword style & form
– Develop a class & schedule routine at your school
– Getting the details and online presence for your club
– How to organize taiji fencing classes & events
– How to referee & organize matches
– And a lot of fencing with other teachers!

Who can register:
– Active Tai Chi & Kung Fu instructors that are interested in having a taiji fencing club starting at their school for 2025!
– This teacher can have a +1 advanced student or assistant instructor; *OR* that student can attend solo in their place if they are running the club for the head teacher.
– Attend from anywhere in the world, and help bring our sport to your state, country, and even continent!

What you receive:
– 2 years of Official Taiji Fencing League club status (renewed by having an active schedule of classes and events)
– Listing on our upcoming websites and social media
– Recognized matches to provide rankings for your club members
– A return on student participation in events & wholesale prices on equipment
– Opportunity to hold recognized and promoted events
– Teacher, Coach, & instructor level access to community events (like this one!)
– Certificate of Club Officiation and/or renewal for 2025 & 2026.

Event Schedule:
– Friday Evening: Orientation, and getting your club formulated and figured out
– Saturday Morning: developing sword drills, and basic fencing
– Saturday Late Morning: Running A Sword Class 101
– Saturday Late Afternoon: more fencing & fencing games
– Saturday Evening: Running a Sword Club 101
– Sunday Morning: developing fencing drills & more fencing time with referee practice.
– Sunday Late Morning: Getting gear, equipment, and etc for the club
– Sunday Early Afternoon: Finalizing your plan for getting your club started, graduation ceremony; depart.

What you should bring:
– A Notebook & pen!
– Clothes to train indoors
– Clothes to train in the cold outdoors
– Your current safety gear for when you fence
– A wooden sword (if you have one already)
– Wooden swords will be provided for those that don't bring them (travel limitations, etc.)

After you register, you will receive an email from [email protected], asking for your school and club details. He will also provide you with information for your arrival.
We recommend booking in the "State College" region for hotels.
