Tai Chi Chuan comes from the "soft-style" martial art tradition in China and is well known for its health benefits. The movements are done in a slow, relaxed, meditative way, allowing for a full body, low impact workout that adjusts to the students' physical condition. Tai chi improves leg strength – good for cardiovascular health – as well as alignment and balance, which helps relieve postural pain and prevent falling. A meditative practice, tai chi helps quiet the mind and reduce stress. As the Tai Chi Classic says: "in movement, the body wants to be light, nimble and strung together".
Taught by Djem Cavanaugh of Long River Tai Chi Circle, Cheng Man-ching lineage.
Tuition: $65 per month.
For questions call Djem at 802 490-0225 or email: [email protected].
