Join us at Hackley Library for a calming program of Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention.This form of Tai Chi is less physically vigorous than traditional Tai Chi, and focuses on smooth, controlled movements that are particularly suitable for older practitioners, or those with mobility issues.
Class Highlights:
Accessibility: This class is easier on the knees and joints. You can successfully participate while sitting in a chair—no getting down on the floor!
Structure: We begin with a gentle warm-up (seated first, then standing if comfortable), followed by 40-45 minutes of step-by-step form instruction, and a brief cool-down.
It is recommended to wear shoes during this program.
