Are you brand new to tai chi, or looking for a refresh on the basics? Come join us for the Tai Chi 101 workshop series at Young Wellness this August. ALL experience and ability levels are welcome.
In this three-part workshop series (90 minutes each week), we will introduce Yang style 24-form tai chi. Our first class will provide an overview of the philosophy and key concepts behind tai chi, as well as the health benefits one may experience through regular practice. We'll cover tai chi walking, warm-up practices, and over the course of the series, work our way through learning and refining each of the 24 forms.
Handouts, homework, and opportunities to reflect on the lessons and share with the rest of the class will help to keep you on target. You'll also have opportunities to observe practice from others, practice side-by-side with your instructor, and ask questions.

Where: Young Wellness LLC @ 130 Maxwell Avenue in Uptown Greenwood, same stoop as Edward Jones, look for the pineapple logo on the window
When: Friday, September 12, 19, and 26 from 6:30pm-8pm
What to wear: comfortable clothes (you might get a little bit sweaty). You can wear shoes or go barefoot during class--up to you. Open-heeled shoes (like flip-flops) will present the biggest challenge to learning the forms.
