About this Event
On January 15, join us at the IQ Building at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David's IQ campus in Swansea for the highly anticipated launch of the Tai ar y Cyd - Delivering Net Zero Pattern Book and How-to-Use Guide.
Keynote and panel discussions will be live streamed for those who can’t get to Swansea in person.
The launch is a call to action for social landlords, timber frame manufacturers, main contractors, architects and policymakers to contribute to Wales’s vision for resilient, sustainable, and affordable housing that meets local needs while reducing environmental impact.
This landmark event will unveil a standardised pattern book aimed at shaping the next generation of high-performing, timber-based, off-site manufactured homes. Designed to meet a unified performance specification, these homes will drive progress toward zero carbon in operation, simultaneously advancing the Welsh supply chain by tapping into local timber resources and nurturing green skills. Through collaboration with member social landlords, this project aspires to address the demand for affordable homes, creating a foundation for a sustainable, resilient housing landscape in Wales.
