This intensive Tactical First Aid course equips participants - security professionals and everyday Albertans alike- with critical, potentially life-saving skills to address two of today’s most urgent emergencies:
Stop the Bleed- A globally recognized hemorrhage control training, approved by the American College of Surgeons (ACS–COT). You’ll learn how to apply direct pressure, use hemostatic agents, apply tourniquets (including the CAT device) effectively, and more.
Narcan Administration- Tailored to address opioid recognition and overdose response, and created with Edmontonians in mind-this segment teaches proper nasal Narcan use, PPE precautions, CPR accompaniment, the recovery position, and more.
Total length: A one-day, in-person course (9 a.m.–4 p.m.) combining both half-day modules.
