We are excited to announce that we will be participating in the Tackle Your Feelings mental health education program.Tackle Your Feelings is a free mental health training program for community AFL coaches, players as well as committee members and other club support staff.
It’s vital that community football clubs create an environment that prioritises mental health, especially given the challenges we’ve faced in recent years. We are uniquely placed to recognise when one of our players is struggling, and this program will provide us with some tools to respond to this
The program includes a workshop delivered by a local psychologist, plus online learning, and it aims to help participants gain the tools to Understand, Recognise and Respond to signs of mental ill-health in their players/ team mates.
