About this Event
In partnership with A Pinch of Salt, Magnacon 7, and We Rise: Storytelling Collective, join us for a special evening of food, drinks, and storytelling at BPT Creates, a multifunctional event and creative space for visual artists, performers, and idea makers of all kinds, located in the Arcade Mall in Bridgeport.
Enjoy a delicious meal from Chef Raquel Rivera, owner of A Pinch of Salt, and curated craft cocktails/mocktails by Rahz Branch, a popular local mixologist, while listening to true tales, told live from We Rise storytellers on the theme of "Nourish."
$50 pp includes dinner (served family-style), 2 speciality cocktails/mocktails, and storytelling. (Additional drinks will be available to purchase.)

BIOS:
Chef Raquel graduated with highest honors from the Institute of Culinary Education after completing her externship at Le Bernardin. After working for catering companies Raquel began teaching at a few NYC based cooking studios until opening A Pinch of Salt over 10 years ago. Chef Raquel teaches cooking fundamentals to all ages, focusing on healthy, seasonal, inexpensive meals that are culturally sensitive and delicious. Furthermore, she has trained adults desiring employment in the culinary field who are now vendors of the Bridgeport Farmers Market Collaborative. In 2010 Chef Raquel’s work was recognized with an invitation to the White House South Lawn as a part of First Lady Obama’s Let’s Move initiative and in 2019 she was awarded Women Business of the Year by the Southern CT Black Chambers of Commerce.

Razul Branch is an artistic, cultural, social innovator and lightning rod for some of the creative movement in Bridgeport, CT. Since 2009 Razul has been bringing the arts, business and community scenes together with his strong influences from his travels around the country and parts of the planet, as well as his own creative lens of seeing the world through his eyes.
Razh is the founder of Magnacon 7 Enterprises & BPT Creates, a culturally driven event design and creative thinking & consulting firm based in Bridgeport, CT. In addition, he serves as the executive director of the Bridgeport Arts & Cultural Council.

We Rise: Storytelling Collective is a Bridgeport, CT-based organization founded under the belief that the sharing of our individual stories with one another is the most powerful way to create connection and empowerment in our communities and beyond.
We produce live storytelling events as well as host writing and storytelling workshops to help people of all ages and backgrounds bring up the stories that make up their lives and cultivate the courage, discipline and self-love that it takes to share them with the world.
