About this Event
Explore the world of product photography in small spaces. In today's visual world, having and creating fun and compelling images for Instagram other social platforms is key! We use images to tell the story of a brand or individuals on a daily basis. These techniques will help you level up your own projects, website, and more.
During this in-person event, Kate will demonstrate:
- Creating a small set
- Techniques for Flat Lay Photos
- Adding layers of texture and styling
- Soft Light and hard light
- Using light creatively
WHAT TO BRING
- Your camera, with a lens in the range of 35 - 50mm, a fully charged battery, and a memory card
Do you have a small product that you want to create an image of? Bring it with you and we can work together to create an image of it. We will have limited time for this of course, but can try to do a few things!
Experience Level: Camera - Intermediate; Lighting - Beginner
Attendees should have an understanding of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and how to navigate their camera menus.
WHERE TO MEET
We will meet at Glazer's, in the Glazer's Classroom on the 2nd Floor.
COVID SAFETY
This will take place in Glazer's classroom, due to the small size of the space, masks will be required.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Kate Hailey is a Portrait Photographer based in Seattle. Kate’s work is a mix of studio portraiture to street photography, blending in movement and stories along the way. When she’s not creating images you’ll find her teaching Photography, Portraiture & Lighting. Her most current work can be found on her Instagram feed @KateHailey.

This event has limited space, as a result, registration is required for each attendee, if you are planning to bring a guest, please register for them as well.

PRICING, FEES & REFUNDS
In the event of a refund, Eventbrite Fees are not refundable. Eventbrite fees are only refunded if an event is canceled.
We will issue a full refund up to 4 days before the event date; or a 50% refund up to the day of the event, however, we are able to fill the spot, we may issue a full refund.
Refunds are unavailable post-event date.
