About Andrea:
Andrea La Canela is a flamenco dancer and teacher of 25+ years. Well versed the art after studies in Spain, California & New Mexico, Andrea’s extensive background in ballet & modern dance lends itself to true dance understanding. A soloist in Arte Flamenco for 5 years before forming her own company Los Flamencos del Pueblo in the Bay Area. Performing flamenco in Spain, Mexico, New York City and California has filled a lifetime career. Recently living in Spain for 2 years immersed her in the flamenco life of Andalusia. She currently lives in Portland, and is teaching children & adults.
