Join us as we celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, a time that honors the deliverance of God’s people both in the Exodus from Egypt and in the Exodus from the Slavery of Sin and Death through Yeshua (Jesus)! We will honor the 7-day celebration of Tabernacles at camp, and the 8th day, Shemini Atzeret, will be back at our Fellowship location!
THEME:
John 7:38
Streams of Living Water
The High Day for Rest is the first day, October 16, starting at evening and runs through to the evening of October 17. Our last day at camp is October 23, and we will have the 8th day celebration on October 24 at our Fellowship location. That day is also a day of rest. .
VENUE:
Camp Ch-Yo-Ca is non-denominational Christian camp located in the piney woods of North Louisiana in Calhoun, near West Monroe. For over 40 years, thousands of campers have come to Messiah in deeper ways through their experiences at camp. It is our mission to continue to provide not only a safe environment, but to lead our campers into a relationship with Yeshua that will carry them to eternity. .
PETS:
All pets must have received prior approval and must be leashed or restrained when outside.
POST-FEAST CLEANUP:
Those staying at the camp should make sure that all belongings are and trash is disposed of before departure, including private lodgings and communal kitchens. Lighthouse is responsible for leaving the camp tidy and we will need many volunteers for the cleanup after the Feast. Please stay and help. Personal items left behind in rooms and the kitchen cause additional work for the Ministry.
CAMP REGISTRATION RATES:
Individuals: $150
Couples/Families: $300
RV Fee: $50 (4 spots available)
Registration includes a bracelet, stylized plastic cup, and evening meals and snacks.
CASH OR CHECK PAYMENTS:
If you would like to pay with Cash or Check, please pay attention during the payment portion of the registration on the next page. After adding all your items, there is a box where you can type CASH to signal that you will be paying with cash or check. This will prompt us to collect that from you, but it will also zero out your balance on here so that you can process your registration without having to pay through the online options here.
In the past, we have not charged a fee for attending Tabernacles, but this placed a strain on our small fellowship as the costs for hosting Tabernacles is our largest cost of the year. After praying and looking at other Tabernacles around the country, we landed at these registration costs. If we filled the camp with campers, this costs would still not cover the total costs of the event. This is simple to help offset the costs of food and a venue. Meals are provided every night for everyone attending, adn we also provide S’mores, movie night snacks, and one breakfast during the week. We understand that for some, this is still a heavy cost. Therefore, we have added the option of requesting a scholarship. We asking that you register your information in the fields and simply click to request the scholarship. We will contact you and work it out. If you’d like to contribute to those needed scholarship, there is an option to donate extra for that as well.
SLEEPING ACCOMODATIONS:
Sleeping locations will be in cabins and bunk houses. Both are not equipped with A/C units and insulation and hard doors and windows. This is an upgrade from previous years. If you need extra accommodations (such as the Aid Station rooms), please reach out to Matt to coordinate this. These accommodations are mostly reserved for older individuals and those with special needs, but please contact Matt if you have questions. If you wish to bring a tent to tent camp, that is completely available! There are plenty of really good places to place a tent and camp!
SCHEDULE:
A detailed schedule of the events of the week will be emailed out to all who register as we get closer to the event. There will be a range of offerings, such as kids events, sports games, teachings, Bible studies, open mic nights, movie night, and much more! . Each person must provide their own linen, pillows, towels and toiletries. . Campsites are on flat, smooth surfaces, with grassy areas mixed with trees. Roads are smooth and easy to navigate. Campsites will be close together yet roomy enough for vehicles and placing a tent next to a camper.
KITCHEN USE:
You will need to provide your own plates, cups, napkins, and silverware if using the kitchen for breakfast and lunch. We have access to use the pots and pans, utensils etc. that are in the camp kitchen, however we suggest you check to see that everything you need is available before your event. The kitchen and dining hall must be cleaned after each meal.
FACILITY CLEAN UP:
You are responsible for leaving the facilities in the same shape you found them. Please empty all trash cans, sweep floors, pick up trash, and turn off all light before leaving. If the facilities are not left in decent order, a $300 cleaning fee will be assessed.
AMENITIES:
Campsites stay relatively dry, and do not have problems with water drainage.
Meals will be made available at the campground restaurant for dinner. All ingredients and equipment will be reviewed to ensure they are biblically clean. Breakfast and Lunch is on your own.
