Tab Benoit, a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and guitarist, has carved out a remarkable 30+ year career with his gritty, soulful Delta swamp blues. His artistry has garnered a devoted fan base and earned him five Blues Music Awards, including the coveted BB King Entertainer of the Year award twice, and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.Beyond his musical achievements, Tab is deeply committed to the environmental health of Louisiana wetlands. He founded Voice of the Wetlands, an organization dedicated to preserving the coastal waters of his home state. In recognition of his efforts, he received the Governor’s Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation in 2010. Benoit also starred in the IMAX film “Hurricane on the Bayou,” which documents the effects of Hurricane Katrina and advocates for wetland protection and restoration.
