Kanakavalli Coimbatore is delighted to showcase a selection of exquisite handwoven saris by Taanbaan, an organisation focused on nurturing indigenous, rain-fed organic cotton, spun by hand on a traditional charkha. The collection includes these gorgeous hand-spun and handwoven cotton saris, some featuring kora and tissue borders and others showcasing the traditional jamdani weave. The palette is subtle, ranging from neutral shades of beige and off white to brighter pops of pink, deep red and blue. Geometric embellishments in the form of checks and stripes, ganga jamuna borders and classic motifs drawn from nature adorn these beautiful saris.
