About this Event
On September 23rd, the Fever Pitch Pilgrimage arrives in the Bronx for a one-time-only event at The Andrew Freedman Home, where Taína Asili joins forces with BombaYo in a powerful collaborative performance for climate justice. The Fever Pitch Pilgrimage is a 150-mile journey taking place September 13–27, 2025, in which Taína and her artistic team will walk from Albany to New York City, carrying a call for climate justice, collective healing, and a just future. Averaging 15 miles a day, they will arrive in NYC during New York Climate Week. This special Bronx stop celebrates their arrival in the city, blending the Ancestral rhythms of Afro–Puerto Rican bomba with select songs from Taína’s Fever Pitch show.
This unique performance on the pilgrimage offers audiences a taste of the full Fever Pitch show — an interdisciplinary work combining music, movement, and video to ignite action for climate justice — which will be presented later in the pilgrimage on September 26th at UPROSE Brooklyn.
This event is open to the public, with a sliding scale donation of $0–$20. Contributions will help cover production and pilgrimage expenses, and support a collective gift to the Black Farmer Fund.
