Second annual T3 Fatass run.The motive, scale on foot all 3 observation towers in the 136 miles of the Kettle Moraine Forest Unit of the Ice Age Trail over two days.
Day 1 is Parnell to the Paradise Trail head in West Bend. This is 43 miles-ish (option to go all the way to Pike Lake on day 1, which is closer to 50 miles).
Day 2. Starts at Pike Lake, then will finish at the Lapham Peak observation tower. This is roughly 37 miles.
✨✨This is a Fatass Event, so it’s free. If you do feel the need to offer money, it will be counted as a donation and given to a chosen animal shelter/rescue/sanctuary 🐾♥️🐾♥️🐾. What is included is very little. Such things are the dates, a few friendly faces out there, help with rides and parked cars, then 2 reserved campsites at Pike Lake for Friday and Saturday.
Also to be resourceful when encountering gas stations and fast food restaurants along the way.
Please see details from the first event we just held.
To grow a confident runner isn’t always one a training plan can provide. That plan guides us on the work load/expectations. What about what you really need to get through an event and zero pressure to find that all out. Is this stuff you can carry? Will it be at aid stations? Do you have a demanding diet? If so pack your own stuff. What if our crew doesn’t show up or aid stations aren’t available. A self sufficient runner is better to handle the mental difficulties so then the athlete can focus more on merely moving forward. Thus our future self can be like “yup, I got this”.
T3 is a let’s just do what we love and maybe wouldn’t do it on our own, with 85ish miles of practice. ✨✨✨Stay for one section, one day or all of it.
Zero pressure cause barf there’s enough of that out there!!
Drop the shoulders, smile and just move.
