Speaker IntroductionSpeaker: Dr. Ronald Skea, Leadership Coach and Author
Ron has 20 years experience applying Systems Thinking leadership both as an Operations Director and as a leadership coach in a range of public and private sector organisations in Asia, North America and Europe. For the past 12 years he has helped senior decision makers in three global financial services organisations apply postmodern Systems Thinking to transformation initiatives.
Ron undertook PhD research on leadership sensemaking of postmodern Systems Thinking challenges to current leadership orthodoxies and has subsequently authored academic texts on this topic.
Event Description
Ron will give a high level overview of what the ‘thinking’ is in Systems Thinking and then the methodology he has used when coaching those in leadership roles. He will explain the differences between modernist and postmodern organisational theory and the impact the ‘heresy’ of postmodern thinking poses for our current thinking about how to design and run organisations. Ron will use his experience working in diverse organisations to give practical examples of theory in practice. His talk will be of interest to those in leadership roles, change agents and students of leadership, organisation and change.
