As at-home coffee making continues to grow in popularity, more people are looking for ways to elevate their drinks with handcrafted flavors. That’s where syrups and shrubs come in.
In this workshop, our Lead Barista Kate will guide you through the process of making your own syrups (like vanilla and mocha) for your coffee and lattes. You’ll also be introduced to shrubs, tangy fruit-and-vinegar based mixers that have been around for centuries. Once considered an old-fashioned preservation method, shrubs are making a comeback as a creative base for both cocktails and mocktails.
By the end of the class, you’ll leave with your own custom-made syrups and shrubs – perfect to enjoy at home or to give as thoughtful holiday gifts. Along the way, you’ll learn techniques you can easily recreate in your own kitchen to keep your coffee and cocktail game fresh all season long.
