YEARNS
YEARNS is Joel Saunders of Spirit Bunny and A Country Practice and Andrew Foley of An Heirloom and Grids/Units/Planes. Outside of YEARNS they have separately appeared on releases on Room 40 and hellosquare Records, collaborating with artists including Erik Griswold (Clocked Out), Andrew Tuttle and Shoeb Ahmad and have had their music featured on ABC TV (The Heights) and played on radio across Australia and abroad.

LAKESHORE
Synthesiser wizard Lakeshore (Matt Cook) returns to Synthetique for an improvised masterclass. Operating electronic label WYWS since 2017, the label has seen 20 releases from emerging Brisbane artists. Matt also produces modular synthesisers under the name, as well as being involved in repairs, production, mixing and mastering.

PTERION
Pterion is a Brisbane based collaborative artist exploring physical responses to sound and concepts of time dilation and contrast. Using modular synthesisers and sampled recordings they create textural soundscapes and find intersections of ambience, rhythm, subtlety, and intensity.

SPIRIT LIGHTS
Finding inspiration in modular synthesis and sound collage, Spirit Lights is the ambient electronic project of Joshua MacGregor (formerly one half of electronic/dance duo Dream Coast). Featuring swirling arpeggios and dream-like pads, Spirit Lights owes as much to the work of modern acts Jon Hopkins and James Holden as to soundtrack legends Tangerine Dream. Spirit Lights’ debut EP and collaborative work with Noir et Blanc has seen support from 4000 Records, 4ZZZ & Triple R.
