The Centre for Applied Social Research (CeASR) in the School of Humanities and Social Science is hosting an afternoon Symposium event on Social Movements and Activism.
The symposium consists of:
Welcome and introductions from Dr Emily Luise Hart, Leeds Beckett University
A book launch of ‘Spycops: Secrets and Disclosure in the Undercover Policing Inquiry’ by Dr Raphael Schlembach, Principal Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Brighton.
A panel discussion on Dr Schlembach's book with Dr Waqas Tufail, Leeds Beckett University, and Chris Brian from the Undercover Research Group
A paper from Dr Joanna Gilmore, University of York, on 'Lawyers at the Coalface: Legal Solidarity and the 1984-5 Miners' Strike.'
