From Barber’s luminous violin concerto and evocative vocal works to Mussorgsky’s haunting Songs and Dances of Death, this concert promises deep emotion and technical mastery.Featured soloists are the 2024-25 Maritsa Brookes Concerto Competition winners: Julian Trippel, violin (Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto); Amy Godin, soprano (Samuel Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915); and Daria Kharchenko, mezzo-soprano (Modest Mussorgsky's Songs and Dances of Death)
