Sept 28: Getting to Know You: Maestro’s Musical Welcome

Info: Join Maestro Luke and Symphony of the Americas for a musical journey through the pieces, composers and mentors that shaped his musical journey. In addition to beloved classics of the symphonic repertoire—from Tchaikovsky to Ravel—the orchestra will be joined by SPHINX Award-winning clarinetist Juan Esteban Martinez for Weber’s thrilling Concertino, National Symphony Orchestra Violinist Regino Madrid for Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music, and Metropolitan Opera Mezzo Soprano, Tesia Kwarteng, for the world premiere of new orchestrations of Roger Quilter’s luscious art songs.

Nov 9: Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms at the Keyboard

Info: The three B’s—Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms—are some of the most beloved composers in music history, and for good reason! This concert is a rare opportunity to experience three lesser-heard masterpieces from these musical titans: a virtuosic Bach suite led by Luke from the harpsichord, featuring the iconic Air on the G String; Beethoven’s rousing Rondo for Piano and Orchestra, performed by Steinway Artist, Mary Anne Huntsman; and the exhilarating full-orchestra version of Brahms’ Piano Quartet—An orchestral tour de force!

Jan 18: Shall We Dance: Symphonic Music to Move You

Info: Sometimes when you turn on a piece of music, you just can’t help but move—and every piece on this concert will have you doing exactly that! From Florence Price’s exciting Colonial Dance, to Percy Grainger’s playful English country tunes, Khachaturian’s theatrical Masquerade, to the pièce de résistance: the world premiere of Gershwin’s Shall We Dance, featuring international tap sensation, Tommy Sutter, and Symphony of the Americas.

Mar 22: Haydn: The Creation

Info: Perhaps you’ve heard Haydn’s masterpiece before, a true treasure in the history of music, but we can guarantee you’ve never heard or seen it quite like this. Joined by Metropolitan Opera Soprano, Maureen McKay; Italian American award-winning Tenor, Jordan Costa; celebrated Bass-Baritone, Peter Barber; and a spectacular chorus. This concert will feature thrilling AI-generated graphics to accompany the entire performance, creating an experience that feels like stepping inside a glorious painting—experiencing these iconic works of art and music from the inside out.

Info: Who can forget the classic TV holiday specials of artists like Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, and Carol Burnett—lighthearted and fun holiday gifts to us all! Following in that tradition, more contemporary artists, from Mariah Carey to Dolly Parton, have kept the holiday cheer alive. Now, Symphony of the Americas will recreate iconic performances from those magical specials, in a concert full of music you know and love, featuring Broadway’s Eric Ulloa, international vocal superstar, Nova Payton; and Second City’s—and Symphony of the Americas favorite—Hilary Morrow. TUESDAY April 28: Pass the Baton: Symphony of the Americas National Collegiate

Info: The entire history of music is filled with passing on what we love to the next generation—putting great music in the hands of tomorrow's music makers, and letting them make it their own. Four outstanding undergraduate conducting students from across the country will have the opportunity to showcase their talent with the world-class Symphony of the Americas, performing a program of American classical and popular works for string orchestra. After a competitive application process, a panel of three guest judges, and the audience serving as the fourth judge, will help The Symphony select its first-ever Conducting Competition winner, who will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to perform in the following season, mentored by Luke. Don’t miss the chance to hear great American music performed by the next generation of conductors—and help us Pass the Baton!
