Catch Singapore-born international pianist Kate Liu in concert, with an eclectic programme of Stravinsky, Mozart, and Weill.
The International Chopin Piano Competition Bronze Medalist returns home to take centrestage in Mozart's dark and turbulent Piano Concerto No. 20, featuring some of the legendary composer's divinely beautiful melodies.
Music Director Chan Tze Law leads the Orchestra in Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite, which melds charm and poise with reinvention and virtuosic parts for orchestra. The evening closes with Kurt Weill's dramatic and intense Symphony No. 2. A rarely performed gem, relentless energy is fused with suave and soaring melodies, heralding Weill's many popular Broadway works that were to come.

Kate Liu is invited via a special collaboration between Altenburg Arts and the Orchestra of the Music Makers. In addition to this concert, she will be performing a solo recital of music by Mozart, Chopin and Brahms on Thursday 21 October at the Victoria Concert Hall.
