Après s’être intéressé à l’aspect rituel de la danse et à ses pouvoirs sur la conscience, Sylvain Émard s’inspire des théories du physicien David Bohm pour plonger dans la dynamique fascinante d’interpénétration et d’interdépendance des corps. Chaque mouvement est à la fois source et continuité, chaque geste a des effets insoupçonnés. Il observe avec finesse la capacité d’enchevêtrement des entités, même distantes, et leur modulation constante. Comment la résonance des corps se manifeste-t-elle dans un espace défini, tout en restant connectée au monde extérieur ? Comment l’histoire du monde s’inscrit-elle inévitablement dans les corps ? Autant de défis alimentant le terreau créatif du chorégraphe pour une expérience inédite sur la musique de Poirier, une exploration profonde des liens magnétiques du corps.

After exploring the ritual aspect of dance and its power over consciousness, Sylvain Émard draws on the theories of physicist David Bohm to investigate the fascinating dynamics of the interpenetration and interdependence of bodies. Every movement is both source and continuity; every gesture has unexpected effects. Émard keenly observes the capacity of entities, even at a distance, to intertwine, and their constant modulation. How does the resonance of bodies operate within a defined space while remaining connected to the outside world? How is the history of the world inescapably inscribed in bodies? These are just some of the challenges that enrich the choreographer’s creative ground for a brand new experience set to the music of Poirier, an in-depth exploration of the body’s magnetic connections.
