Sydney Mitchell is hosting its 13th Annual Charity Quiz Night on 11 September 2024
Are you ready to rise to the Challenge and test your knowledge skills and compete for the title of Sydney Mitchell Quiz Team Champions 2024.
The entry fee is £120 including VAT for a team of four. All proceeds from the night will go to our nominated charities Carers Trust Solihull and Parenting Mental Health. The entry price includes a hot buffet and there will be a cash bar on the night. The Atrium bar will be open from 6:00pm, although we will be on site earlier so there will not be a problem if you arrive before 6pm. The Quiz starts promptly at 6.30 pm.
The Quiz will once again be run by Quizmaster Stoo Pittaway on the night using Speedquizzing, so please do prepare yourselves now and ensure you have a smartphone, tablet or the like with you on the night. If you don't have a tablet or smart phone, don't worry, just let us know and we can organise one for you on the night.
There will be a raffle on the night and if you would like to donate any prizes, please bring them along on the night or drop them into one of our offices prior to the event.
If you are unable to play and join us on the night, there is also the option of making a donation to our charities. See the booking forms to select your choice.

What is a Smartphone Quiz?
SpeedQuizzing is a gameshow style interactive quiz which enables teams to answer Quiz questions via a series of Multiple Choice, Numbers and Letters based answers. All questions are timed so cheating is impossible and bonus points are awarded for being the fastest team for every question.
How to prepare for attending a Smartphone Quiz?
- Choose which device you are going to use for your team. SpeedQuizzing is playable on iPhones, iPads, Android devices and Amazon Fire devices.
- Head to the app store or marketplace on your device and search for the app ‘SpeedQuizzing – Virtual Buzzer’ and download it.
- Choose yourself a team name. You won’t be able to type it in until you are at the actual event but it’s always good to get these things decided beforehand.
- Attend the event and enjoy! Practice questions are always done before the quiz starts so you will know what to do.
It is recommended that the app is downloaded before the date of the event. Whilst it only takes moments to download an app on the day, it has been known in the past for an app store to have problems on the date of the event which causes all sorts of problems when trying to provide teams with a device to use. We would hate for a team to miss out playing the game so best to have the app on the device ready!
